Riot Announces Groundbreaking Update For Lux In Patch 10.11

Riot Announces Groundbreaking Update For Lux In Patch 10.11

Riot Games surprised the League of Legends community this week with the announcement of a thorough hero update. Lux, the Lady of Luminosity, will receive a groundbreaking update in LoL Patch 10.11. Not only is this a shocker for many players, but also the LoL Bitcoin betting community as game updates are a known factor that can greatly affect the meta and overall results of a match.

Mark “Riot Scruffy” Yetter, the Lead Gameplay Designer for League of Legends, announced the new patch update on his official Twitter account. Highlighting the buffs for Lux and other champions, Riot Scruffy said: “Some of these buffs are softer than others but we only aim for what would be appropriate for each champion…Bot and Mid power isn’t in this patch so we can take the time to do it right.”

Lux has been in the game for 10 seasons now. Despite her seniority, the champion’s win rate in the solo queue sits at 49.12%, one of the lowest rates in the game. To help players realize the full potential of Lux, Riot attempts to turn her into a more accomplished champion at zoning off enemy teams. If successful, Lux could make an impact in the mid lane meta.

Individual Changes

E – Lucent Singularity

Riot will buff Lux’s E – Lucent Singularity to help her block enemies easily. The new version slows her enemies for 1 second on detonation, an upgrade from its current speed of 0.25 seconds. This impacts Lux’s presence in the mid lane meta, but it also has positive effects on all stages of the game for Lux players.

Light Binding

Currently, Lux’s Light Binding has a target range of 1,175 and a speed rate of 1,200. It cost a player 50 mana to execute it. Using this feature, Lux releases a sphere of light that comes with magic damage to the first two enemies near her. The action only takes 2 seconds. As impressive as it seems, Riot plans to improve this feature to help Lux reach her slowed targets effectively.

Final Spark

Final Spark is one of Lux’s strongest powers. It is often used by players as a damaged tool. In Patch 10.11’s buff, the Final Spark could become a more useful zoning tool for the first time.

Aside from Lux, Riot prepared more nerfs and buffs appropriate for each champion. Following the recently released LoL Patch 10.9 is Patch 10.11 alongside a version of Lux that hits  the live servers on May 28, Thursday.
