FACEIT To Host Scouting Grounds Circuit 2020 For NA Players

FACEIT, in partnership with Riot Games and several regional organizers, announced the comeback of Scouting Grounds Circuit for 2020. The tournament is one of the biggest and most inclusive North American qualifiers in the world in terms of the number of matches.

The Scouting Grounds Circuit kicks off on May 1 and runs through July 25. It features a $60,000 prize pool and 8 of the best NA teams emerging from special FACEIT-sponsored and third-party qualifiers. Find odds for the tournament on the top LoL betting sites and test your esports knowledge to the test.

Tournament Format

The new format for this year is a bit complicated as FACEIT aims to determine the 8 participants fair and square. Without direct invites, teams who wish to compete in the tournament have to go through a series of qualifiers. The qualification and the spot for the tournament are achieved through a central leaderboard.

NA-based League of Legends teams can sign up and compete in a series of qualifiers. Each qualifier offers a fixed number of qualification points. Teams will cumulatively earn points if they earn a place in the qualifier. The top 8 teams with the most points on the board by the end of the stage head to the Scouting Grounds Circuit Playoffs. The top 2 teams earn another set of tickets to the 2020 Honda Scouting Grounds, hosted by Riot-LCS, and Academy Summer Finals.

Here is the list of NA qualifiers linked to the Scouting Grounds Circuit:

  • LWL – Legends Weekend League (with open qualifiers)
  • Tier 1 Partnered Organiser Tournaments
  • BIG League (hosted by Dark Star Gaming)
  • Upsurge Premier League (hosted by Upsurge Esports)
